What’s New in Lessonly this New Year? Custom Roles, Practice Feedback, and More

Happy 2020, everyone! We’re excited to kick off a brand new year with you. May it be one of clarity, progress, and Better Work with Lessonly.

The Lessonly product team is already off to the races, and it’s showing because we have a jam-packed launch of new features today. There’s a lot to cover, so if you’re interested in user roles, APIs, and practice, keep on reading. 

New Year’s Role-solutions

For many of our larger customers, flexibility in user roles is a must. As of today, we’re excited to announce custom roles are available in Lessonly. This feature allows you to create all-new user roles and customize them using the various permissions Lessonly has available.

New Permissions: Program Management

Speaking of the permissions Lessonly has available, we’re launching even more permissions today. Now, Lessonly customers can give groups of users assigned to a specific role the ability to:

  • Edit company settings
  • Create new chrome extension mappings
  • Create new web widget mappings
  • Create and edit user roles

These permissions provide even more control over what each role in Lessonly can do to make your training program as efficient and effective as possible. 

Can I get some feedback?

When learners use on-demand practice, often it’s to get repetitions in on key skills they’re trying to master. As they progress, getting specific coaching helps speed up the learning process. Starting today, learners can request feedback on their on-demand practice scenarios from specific leaders on their team. They can request feedback for a specific scenario answer, assign it to a particular manager on the team, and even give details on what feedback they’re looking for.

We’re continuing to make practice in Lessonly more scalable and personal. Stay tuned for more on this next month!

Also launching today…

  • Usernames—For customers who don’t use their company email or prefer not to, Lessonly now supports usernames as an option for userIDs.
  • xAPI—Lessonly is now compatible with xAPI to simplify real-time data transfer.
  • Webhook 2.0—We’ve improved our webhook to give real-time access to more user data including user-created, user-archived, user-restored, and user-updated information.
