While we don’t often broadcast new hires on our blog, we have a really good feeling about our latest prospect.
Earlier this year, our CEO Max received an email with a Google Document attached. Upon opening it, he found a black-and-white image of the Lessonly logo along with a letter describing “Why I Want to Work at Lessonly” from a mysterious Victour N (we’ve initialed his name to protect his privacy):
Emboldened by Victour’s confidence of sending his resume directly to a CEO, Max responded:
Max also invited Victour for a tour of our space.
Turns out, Victour is a local 8-year-old student that crushes his schoolwork to earn more time for what he really enjoys: computers. After hearing from his teacher about this local tech company named Lessonly looking for smart and driven students, Victour took it upon himself to find Max’s email, write this Google Doc, pull the Lessonly logo (we’re still trying to figure that one out), and impress the hell out of us.
Victour came in one Friday morning, met the team, and had an awesome time learning about what we do here at Lessonly and how we create learning software that employees demand. We’re glad he enjoyed it so much, and we really hope that he’ll take us up on that internship offer in 10 years.
